CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
CREATE WITH FRIENDS
All classes are one hour each week.
Art
Beginners Art: Ages 5-8
The little ones in this class will explore all kinds of mediums from paint to clay to charcoal. It's all about expressive fun!
Art Class: Ages 9-12, 13 & up
Each of our painting and drawing classes are project-oriented and geared toward the age group in each class. Self-expression combined with learning about art elements and theory, make each class unique!
Dance & Tumbling
Ballet: Ages 3-5, Ages 6-8
The little ones in this 1-hour class will begin with a warm-up and stretching routine, then will move into ballet instruction. Formal teaching instruction combined with fun and games!
Ballet & Tap: Ages 9 and up
One half of each class will be devoted to ballet and the other half will be devoted to tap instruction. Our instructor will work on technique throughout the year and will focus on a dance routine starting in the spring as the class prepares for our Spring Showcase (May 1, 2021).
Tumbling Classes: Ages 3-5, 6-8, 9 and up
Each class is one hour, once a week. Students will work on fundamental tumbling skills and build upon their starting level. We use mats and basic tumbling equipment to aid in instruction.
Theatre & Creative Writing
Theatre Class: Ages 11 & up
This theatre class is focused on producing a complete play. These students have some experience in stage acting and will be learning more refined techniques. The work load is also more intense as they learn their lines for the productions throughout the year: one small production for Christmas, and a larger production for our Spring Showcase (May 1, 2021).
Creative Writing: Ages 13 & up
Creative writing class encourages students to learn about great poetry through memorization and recitation. This program helps students master public speaking skills, build self-confidence, and learn about literary history and contemporary life. This class is offered virtually & in-person.
Musical Theatre: Ages 6 & up
Students will learn elements of musical theatre including acting, choral music, and choreography. This class will produce two plays during the 2020-21 school year (Christmas & Spring Showcase).
