COVID-19 & THE CENTRE
STAYING HEALTHY TOGETHER
The Centre staff are taking measures to create an environment for our students, volunteers, staff, board, and community that is as safe as possible. We will be following guidelines set forth by the federal and state Centers for Disease Control.
-We follow comprehensive cleaning procedures surrounding our programming. We are taking extra time to make sure our staff are cleaning surfaces, door knobs, and communal tools before and after each program and meeting.
-We put up signs instructing our students on proper hand-washing techniques next to all sinks.
-We provide hand sanitizer in all public spaces.
-We ask staff and students to wash their hands with greater frequency.
WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP:
We ask all staff, volunteers, community members, and board members who have a cough or feel sick to work from home and not attend their scheduled activities at the Centre.
We ask that you or your child please consider staying home if you have any symptoms of the flu including fever, cough, and shortness of breath, or have been in contact with anyone with those symptoms in your household or place of work.
If a student cannot attend their classes or performances due to illness or any of the reasons above, please email , and we will follow up with you as soon as possible to send homework or practice assignments for them as best we can.
CLOSURE & RE-OPENING POLICY:
Currently, the Centre remains closed to the public until the state of Louisiana enters Phase II of re-opening.
At the beginning of a stay-at-home order that limits gatherings to 10 people, we will follow the Pointe Coupee Parish School District's closure policy. During the re-opening phase, we are allowed to slowly open during Phase II, whereas most schools are allowed to open during Phase III. This means that we may re-open before public schools in some cases.
For all other events (holidays, natural disaster, severe weather) we follow the PCPSD's closure policy.
As always, we hope that you are staying well, and if you or your family is in need, please feel free to call our director, Courtney, at 318.518.9761 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for helping us keep you and our community healthy!
